The Piano Craft Gallery has had many home-comings this year and are celebrating with the rebirth of the title, Home is Where the Art is, which was used back in the late 90's by resident artists.

In May we held the first ever Resident Pop-Up event, which was a weekend-long celebration devoted to creativity at the Piano Craft Guild. During the month of August, we worked to install, From the Lair of Ken Beck, a retrospective of works on paper by long-time former resident artist, Ken Beck. In September, we graciously accepted the donation of an 1874 Chickering square-grand piano, which was manufactured on-site when the Piano Craft Guild was an operating piano factory.

This December we will celebrate generations of creativity at the Piano Craft Guild. In addition to exhibiting artwork from resident artists and members of the gallery board, we will also be unveiling the Ken Beck Community Flat File. The purpose of the flat file is to establish a permanent historical archive of artists’ work who have both lived and worked in the Piano Craft Guild and/or have served on the Piano Craft Gallery’s board of directors.

Please join us in this festive celebration of past, present, and future.
