Yingqi Wang COncert
Yingqi Wang is a pianist and educator currently completing her Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Piano Performance at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's Glenn Korff School of Music under Dr. Paul Barnes.
As a performer, Yingqi has presented numerous solo recitals, chamber music concerts, and the acclaimed lecture recital "East Meets West: Fusion in Jianzhong Wang's Piano Works." Her performance experience extends internationally, including participation in the Summer Piano Institute in Greece, as well as collaborations spanning classical and contemporary repertoire.
A versatile accompanist, Yingqi has extensive experience accompanying choirs, musicals, and Broadway shows, including recent work on "Beauty and the Beast: The Broadway Musical" and various show choir productions.
Yingqi earned her Master of Music in Piano Performance from Syracuse University's Setnor School of Music, studying with Prof. Steven Heyman and Dr. Fred Karpoff. In addition to her active performance career, she is a dedicated piano educator. She is an active member of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA). Her expertise encompasses piano performance, pedagogy, chamber music, keyboard literature, and music theory.
