Please Support our Flood Recovery
Two consecutive floods as a result of a water main break have caused Piano Craft Gallery to remain closed until the necessary repairs can be made.
We unfortunately have had to cancel several exhibitions (Julia McGehean, Speak Up III, Erik Grau, 50th Anniversary PCG Resident Group Show), events (Playing Games, Artz Over Anxiety), and community gatherings (BPS Saturdays).
At this time we are preparing for major work to be done in the gallery to be able to open again soon. Before the gallery can reopen we will need to have the bottom 4 feet of the entire wall cut down and replaced to prevent the formation of mold. Additionally we will need to repair, rebuild, and replace various gallery materials such as the pedestals, desk, seating, and electrical equipment.
We are ambitiously hoping to reopen by January. We need the gallery ready to begin hosting regular exhibitions, Playing Games events, Artz Over Anxiety Events, Figure Drawing, SoFar Sounds Concerts, and Saturday morning artistic programming for Boston Public Schools 7th-12th graders.
If you can, we are asking for any generous tax-deductible contributions to
