January 23 - February 8, 2026

Opening Reception: January 23, 2026, 6 - 8 PM

On view this month at the Piano Craft Gallery, Movement: Emotions through Color Abstraction presents a group exhibition that explores the emotional resonance of abstract art. The show brings together artists whose works differ visually yet share a common sense of energy, expressive mark-making, and emotional depth.

Art is inherently an emotional practice. In this exhibition, abstraction functions as a mode of expression, allowing movement to emerge through layered color, dynamic compositions, and distinctive forms. Ideation and process converge to create thoughtful visual experiences that emphasize the fluidity of materials and the expressive power of abstraction.

Featuring works by emerging artists Erica Moriconi, Daniel D. Coughlin, Jillian Vaccaro, Brie Warren Swift, and Zack Faugno-Teig, and curated by Danielle Faugno-Teig, the exhibition highlights the breadth and strength of contemporary abstract practices across animation, sculpture, and painting. Movement: Emotions through Color Abstraction offers a focused and compelling viewing experience grounded in color, form, and emotional clarity.
